: . I also wanted the check first because I don't know him and wanted to be safe about it. I had a few other people on the backburner as well. A few days later I get an email saying the check was sent out and not to send it to the address on the check but to the one in his email. Sure enough, I get a check a few days later from Northern California (where he said he was). So I send the seats to the address in the email as per the instructions. Sounds fine, right? WELL, it turned out that one of the "backburner" people (who also happened to live in Northern Cali 20 miles from the other guy) had sent a check to me as well. COMBINE that with the fact that Serei's check NEVER came or was NEVER sent (or it got "lost"). The two incidents combined meant that Serei got the seats and this other guy lost his money. Horrible coincidence.
: : Sheesh...so I rectify the situation and return the other guy (Derrick Doo/three hun net(CA) his money and apologize. I try to get the money from Serei but he's dragging his feet again. I'm now in a situation I didn't want to be. He says he sends ANOTHER check but it never comes either. Then finally he says he'll give me back the seats, however, Derrick is closeby to Serei and agrees to meet up with him and get the seats. Derrick was being REALLY cool about this and was saving shipping costs. I thought I could trust Derrick because he sent me a check the FIRST TIME and I have his information. : : Well, that weekend goes by and I hear nothing. Now, a week later I hear from Derrick that he could not make it to pick them up from Serei. BUT Serei emails me saying that he DID give them to Derrick. RED FLAG! Derrick says he was at a funeral and couldn't make it, and Serei says a guy named Derrick in a white Z came to his house and grabbed the seats and chatted with him for a while (Derrick drives a BLACK Z according to his sig though). WHAT IN THE HELL!?!?!? : : So now I've got two people who are driving me absolutely nuts. Over 20 emails have changed hands and NEITHER will give me prompt replies or phone numbers to reach them at. Honestly, I can't tell who to believe, but Serei has wrecked his own credibility 100 fold from various problems with the first payment. So I'm thinking he still has them...but I don't know! I hope it's just one of them being a flake and not both! I'd hate for someone to get blamed incorrectly. : : End result, I have BOTH of their full names and addresses and as many of you know, I have friends in high places when it comes to investigations, background checks, etc. I can pull some strings, but this is STUPID and I'd probably get laughed at over $180 in seat covers. I'd rather send a Z'er over there to see what the hell is going on. Should it ever come to this? No. Is this a TT.net problem? NO...this is not another "classifieds section problem". It was a horrid chain of coincidences combined with at least ONE shady/irresponsible person. Honestly, I could care about the seats...but I'm PISSED at having to deal with this. Argh. Anyone in Frisco/San Jose feel like pulling a "Guido" for me? hehe. : : Thanks for listening...had to vent and warn people, just in case. When a result is reached, I'll let everyone know the culprit.
